We really should organize a sorority meeting (of sorts) around this event each year.

What do you think guys? I'm certainly up for it.

Cheers,

Lusty.
Awesome beer is just around the corner. I'll meet you there!

I went to the Saturday arvo session last year and I'll be doing the same this year. Probably end up at the wheatsheaf after - just like last year. And Glen, i thought it was killer 😆

I thought last years event was mediocre at best.

I thought the one the year before was OK, but not good enough to get me to fork out to go again last year.

Does anyone know how events like this and Schützenfest get away with not having clean glasses for every beer poured? I don't actually care that much, but it seems odd that these events can do it but pubs and breweries can't. I believe that's the glasses issue is the sole reason that Brewboys aren't there.
I have nothing interesting to add here.

You're not sharing glasses (not supossed to anyway) and they do have glass washing stations
Would like to continue my '69 Buick restoration IF this effing State can ever get out of first gear, I might earn enough money to continue!

Have you ever been to a beer festival? It's logistically and practically impossible to have a clean glass for every beer consumed by a punter. I prefer cleaning out my beer glass after each drink and holding on to my glass thhan drinking from a plastic cup.

Apparently the reason you need a fresh one in pubs and breweries because of the tap touching either the glass or the beer in the glass. Like I said, I don't see it as a massive problem, I just don't see why it's a problem at a pub but not a problem at a festival.

I assume all of the breweries have glass washers. They don't take long to wash a tray of glasses.

I didn't get to the first one but those who did and went to last year as well said last year was much better.  I think this year will be even better.  Come along to the Saturday night session.

You simply wash your own glass at one of the many troughs located in the livestock building.

The wristband payment system is great (brought in last year), so simple. Easy for punters to recharge with no time lost in long lines for tokens like the year prior.

The queuing at the first one was horrendous. It was mainly a night of queuing with a couple of beers in between. The token system was a bit rubbish too, I'm glad they did something about that.
I have nothing interesting to add here.
